Loggerhead nest lay asleep in front of The Courtright House on Edisto Island.
Eggs are moved safely to higher ground. Incubation 55-60 days.
Turtle Patrol
Loggerhead sea turtles lay annually on Edisto, returning from the spot from once they emerged. These magnificent creatures can grow to the size of the undercarriage of a VW beetle, laying 125+ eggs to a clutch.
